April 9 | Wildfire: Understanding Fire Behavior and Reducing Risk
Effective wildfire preparedness starts with understanding how fire spreads through landscapes and communities. This session covers key fire behavior principles and practical strategies to reduce risk, including defensible space, home hardening, and community-wide mitigation efforts. Learn how to take proactive steps to improve wildfire resilience and safety.
April 23 | The Coupled Approach: Vegetation Management & Home Hardening
Wildfire resilience requires addressing both landscape and structural vulnerabilities. This session explores how vegetation management—reducing flammable fuels and maintaining defensible space—works in tandem with home hardening to lower wildfire risk. Discover how integrating these strategies can help protect lives, property, and ecosystems.
