October 17 & 20 | Strategies for Mitigating Wildfire Risk Workshops
August 31st, 2026This workshop is designed for communities to understand and prioritize among several different fuels management or risk reduction options that may be relevant to their community. LWF staff will help participants understand the different wildfire risk reduction options available to them and create a plan for prioritizing those different options. We strongly recommend participants for this workshop attend the Wildfire Risk Assessment and Mapping Workshop offered on either October 10 or 13, 2026.
What You’ll Learn:
- Pros and cons of different fuels management and other risk reduction strategies.
- How to prioritize possible projects to create an actionable plan for reducing the wildfire risk in their community.
Who Should Attend:
Anyone motivated to better understand wildfire risk in their community and take action is welcome to attend. We strongly recommend having a team of 2-5 members from your community attend together.
Format: In-person interactive workshop.

This workshop will be offered twice, on the following dates:
- Saturday October 17, 2026 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
- Tuesday October 20, 2026 from 12:30 - 4:30 pm
